At Canteen Service Company, we care about our area’s senior citizens and the meals we prepare! Communities have seen significant increases in the number of meals being provided since our management of the program began. Canteen’s expertise is in the areas of planning, management, preparation and delivery. It is for all of these reasons, that Canteen Service Company assures and certifies our capability to bring the same success to the Senior Nutrition programs of our area.
Senior meals will be prepared by the DAIL standard operating procedure locally in Kentucky and Indiana. All menus and meals will be approved by our registered state dietician. All meals will be prepared according to the guidelines in 910 KAR 1: 190.
The Nutritional program director will oversee the entire process of the meal; utilizing the proper tray and method meal preparation, monitoring temperature and nutritional guidelines, portioning, proper cooling process, transporting and delivery.
